misuse of the open_eyes tag

After uploading a picture relevant to the open_eyes tag, I noticed that the vast, vast majority of pictures tagged with it shouldn't be. It's supposed to be used only for characters who normally have their eyes closed, and who have now opened them. Instead, it seems like a few people tagged every single picture they uploaded with open_eyes just because the character's eyes happen to be open.

I've taken steps to correct this myself, but it's just too tedious without some way to mass edit, and it's starting to seem like there are pages and pages of nothing but mistakes. It's not a very large tag in any case, but it's not being used for its intended purpose, which utterly defeats the purpose of searching for it. What should be done?

Do basic users not have access to tag script mode? It's normally found as a Mode drop-down menu right under the search box when you're browsing.

You could have an extremely simple -open_eyes script and just click on all of the inappropriately tagged posts.

Attempting to clean up a tag with such a confusing name isn't going to accomplish much anyway. Anybody who has heard of closed_eyes would reasonably assume open_eyes is used as the opposite of it, not only for characters with normally closed eyes, and cleaning the tag up isn't going to help break people's first impression. Tag should be renamed to something else instead.
