create implication standing_on_liquid -> walking_on_liquid
remove implication standing_on_liquid -> standing
remove implication walking_on_liquid -> walking

The emphasis is obviously on the act of, well, _not sinking_ and not on actual movement. I don't see why they have to be separate tags, especially considering that a lot of posts seem to be arbitrarily tagged with either of the two tags.

Look at this: post #1941615. She's running or walking on water (or liquid -> general tag).
And the second argument doesn't since there are posts that are tagged this way but I admit: These tags are a marginal note.

Just an idea for a possible tag related: on_liquid?

I like this idea; most of the existing standing_on_* tags (and walking_on_*, sitting_on_*, etc.) are superfluous to existing two-tag searches and could be culled without losing anything of value. Tags like sitting_on_desk and standing_on_roof aren't necessary when you should be able to find the same posts with sitting on_desk and standing on_roof.

But in the case of on_liquid, I can't help but worry that if such a tag existed, it would end up full of posts that ought to be tagged afloat. Not everybody reads wiki pages before using tags, so if it isn't immediately clear what a tag is meant for, you can usually expect to find it in places it shouldn't be.

'Walking on water' is a common term in fiction for the ability of a person to not sink when he should, and it includes standing on water, kneeling, sitting and doing push-ups. For example, the term handstand also applies when the person in question is walking or doing some other activity while standing on hands, and yet there's no tag walking_on_hands, standing_on_one_hand and so on. Thus, I still think my first proposal should apply - the term is established and unambiguous except for cases of irrationally pedantic examination.
