Permissions for approvers who are members

Currently, we have multiple users that are having approval power but are only Member level user.
That means that these user are not able to approve posts that are loli, shota and toddlercon since they are only visible to Gold+ user.
So the question is: Why don't habe approvers the permission to see posts that are tagged with loli/shota/toddlercon? Well, either promote them to Gold users or give them this permission.
It's only 6 users, but over half are very active approver.

Aside of that, I guess the point of giving approval power is just because they had the tastes that the administrations wants or fits with them. Giving them Builder or above without examining their time and frequence in the site is out of the idea of those promotions I think.

Of course only Gold member if they are Member.

The idea for permissions is that they are supposed to be disjoint from user level.

Well, then allow them to see them, that is the content and not so difficult to get.
Because they still can't see loli/shota images and this is not good.

They only can:
Approve posts.
Delete and undelete posts.
Ban and unban posts.
Flag an unlimited number of posts per day.

Like Lannihan said, just make the active ones Gold members. Like approve at least 50 posts to show that you're active and you'll be promoted to that level.

Yes. If they get promoted, only to Gold.
If this isn't an option (for whatever reason) , give them permission to see loli/shota posts so that they can approve it.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that we probably don't need more approvers for the paywall categories. We already have 88% (53/60) of approvers that can approve those categories. Also, the aforementioned categories only comprise 1.8% (46550/2500782) of the posts here on Danbooru.

Why though? We have enough gold+ approvers to take care of censored posts.

With that reasoning, you can challenge why they are approvers in the first place :P.

Unless it was albert's intention that the censored posts should be held to a somewhat higher standard. The purpose of the member-level approvers was to approve borderline uploads that the other approvers would overlook, right?

Yeah, probably.
So it'd be nice what @albert has to say about this, since he started this initiative last year with recruiting such users.

Meh. There aren't that many basic level approvers (7 by my count) and plenty of gold+ approvers (53). If there's evidence that it's becoming a problem then we can take some action to correct it but for now there's no change needed. The whole point of separating approval into a role is to not have to deal with escalation. What happens when an approver gets revoked? Do they lose access to all their loli favorites?
