On that note, will you be aliasing white_panties (or any other *color*_panties tag) to panties as well?

What's wrong with specifying the color of clothing? I rarely go into that level of detail when tagging, but it can be useful for when a character is wearing something unusual, like in post #355854.

I'm not sure an alias is needed, wouldn't a mass edit do the trick just fine?
Maybe for white_thighhighs, where there are less than 150 posts tagged with it. However, white_panties has almost 1,800 posts, and I don't think anyone wants to take the time to do that.

Could you clarify what you mean by "unusual"? Because to be honest, I don't see anything unusual about the outfit.
I see what you mean now. However, tags like that aren't used for that purpose anyway. They're just used like the striped_panties tag.
The main problem I have with this is that I feel that posts are getting over-tagged. People feel the need to point out EVERY LITTLE DETAIL in the picture, and sometimes it's annoying. Take post #360000 for instance. Is there REALLY a point for that many cum tags? I suppose I shouldn't complain though, since I'm guilty of doing it myself...
I don't really think there's such a thing as over-tagged. I've suggested tagging the color of clothes in images before actually, but it was decided against for some reason.
Anyway a mass-edit would only take one action (by a person) regardless of how many instances of the tag there are. I still think that these tags are useful and I would prefer to see more of them rather than less, but that's just me. Like I said I've brought it up before.
I vote against this alias. I think there should be tags like this to further sort out tags that are fairly broad. Thighhighs has 26061 images under it, that's too large to find anything specific within it without difficulty.
Personally I think when a tag gets too bloated there should be tags such as this to help further divide the parent tag. In the case of thighhighs the general distinguishing feature would be color.
