Tag Alias: outside -> outdoors

outside -> outdoors

They're being used for the same thing. There also appears to be some significant overlap between these tags and nature, although I'm not sure if it's enough for an alias.

Swore we had a thread or three about this, but I guess an alias was never put into place.

Outdoors seems like the better, more specific tag and they are indeed used the same way, so I'm inclined to accept this pending a good contrary argument.

Yes, we had a couple threads about this. Just want to point out that nature is very different from outdoors. You could easily have an indoor jungle or an outdoor concrete wilderness. nature should refer to an abundance of plant life, usually, which really has nothing to do with being indoors or outdoors, fundamentally.

But.. what if you are outside a house with no doors? :P

Then it suffices that there exists anywhere one house with doors in it.

Pretty much made moot by 葉月's response ( :D ), but I think I should point out that "outdoors" is etymologically derived from "out of doors", but is now defined in most dictionaries to just mean "outside manmade edifices". Merriam-Webster, for example, defines it as "outside a building; in or into the open air".
