Both tags refer to the same character.

There's a similar problem with other playable characters (they're tagged with their 2nd awakening as if they're a different character) but the female Slayer is popular enough that these two tags are now double digit in count and tag almost completely separate pools of images. Would be hard to fix manually. I made list_of_dungeon_and_fighter_characters a long time ago in the hopes of curbing this, but I guess it happened anyway.

EDIT: Changed BUR to include the other DFO characters at the suggestion of other users in this thread.

EDIT: Removed male_nen_master_(dungeon_and_fighter), male_striker_(dungeon_and_fighter) and male_grappler_(dungeon_and_fighter) from the BUR since they have an image count of zero.

EDIT: The bulk update request #3232 (forum #171042) has been approved by @evazion.

I think it's fine for them to have different character tags if they have a different outfit. It's being done with Elsword characters.
Maybe implying them to a master tag like the aforementioned example?

Like MU said, character tags don't need to be exclusively for actual separate characters. Gacha games like Azur Lane and GFL have tags for individual character skins. If the design is distinct and recognizable, it's fine to have its own tag for searching purposes.

i was thinking about that a few months ago but figured the dungeon_and_fighter tag doesn't really seem to get much foot traffic anyway so i left it alone.

i guess in your example, the "master tag" would be female_slayer_(dungeon_and_fighter)? it's her base class.

never really thought this one through since it's a nightmare of an undertaking.

I'm not sure what you mean when you say this is too difficult to resolve manually. Most of the subclasses only have around 20-30 posts each, it would take like 10-20 minutes of manual tagging to replace all the subclasses with the base class.

Even so, I think implicating the subclasses to the base classes is a much better option than removing the ability to search for the different designs with an alias. If the designs are distinct enough, that is.

well crap, i'm dumb. i thought i was doing an implication, i clearly need more sleep. any way to edit my request, or do i have to go do a new one?

also, i don't really tag much except for small things missing here and there on the occasional image, even 20-30 per tag seems like a handful to me. i'd probably end up trying to script my way through that, although i suppose that's what bulk update requests are for...

thanks. i'll try that after i get some sleep and i'm less prone to screwing something up horribly.

i didn't do it for the other characters because of the whole "minimum tag count requirements" thing, but if you're suggesting it then i guess it's fine.

alright, i'll write a little something for each of them when i find enough time to do so.

do the wiki pages on both sides of the implication have to have the same content? i had a run-in with the "conflicting wiki pages" error (and did a stupid by deleting a wiki page) and was told that was the case. i've never done this before.

No, that's only for aliases since making one will move the wiki over which doesn't really work if they aren't both identical or the target one is empty.

finally got around to starting the wiki pages - i made a few short ones for the male Slayer and his subclasses. are those good enough, or do they need a general description of the characters too?

Also, some other questions about the BUR itself:

went and re-did the male Slayer wikis to have a better description and official art links. i got some time today so i'll try to get as many of the rest of them done as i can.

i've discovered while writing these that i'm really horrible at describing clothing, hopefully that isn't too much of a problem.

edit: OK, i think i got about half of them done, will get the others probably tomorrow (definitely some time this week).
