Company Copyrights and Products

Alot of Nintendo Switch images aren't tagged with the copyright Nintendo. I know that we don't tag company characters like Mario or Link with the company copyright, but the wiki says, that we should tag hardware and logos with this tag.

Do not use this tag for images which do not contain references to the hardware, logo, or staff related to the company

My question is, if we should tag those products, consoles, with their specific company copyright or if it's not necessary? The same goes for Playstation and Sony or xBox and Microsoft.

If the hardware in question has its own tag, don’t tag the company. If something like a logo without its own tag is present, tag the company. For example, we don’t have a Nintendo logo tag, so you tag Nintendo+logo. You should probably tag the company if a post focuses on their consoles, so a post about (almost) all Nintendo consoles should be tagged Nintendo.

You should also use the company tag for company connection posts. (tag search: nintendo company_connection)
