BUR #6238 has been rejected.

create alias blood_on_face -> bloody_face
create alias blood_on_breasts -> bloody_breasts
create alias blood_on_arm -> bloody_arm
create alias blood_on_leg -> bloody_leg
create alias blood_on_wall -> bloody_wall
create alias blood_on_ground -> bloody_ground
create alias blood_on_chest -> bloody_chest
remove alias bloody_fingers -> bloody_hands
create alias blood_on_fingers -> bloody_fingers

Compare our blood_on_* tags to our bloody_* tags. As far as I can see, there's no reason to have two different naming conventions for these tags. Why have bloody_clothes alongside blood_on_shoes? Why have blood_on_face but also bloody_hands? When I'm tagging a post with blood everywhere, it gets annoying going down the list of body parts and objects to tag and flipping a coin for whether they're bloody_ or blood_on_.

The existing blood_on_* -> bloody_* aliases were created without any real discussion in topic #9569 and topic #12327.

Since the previous aliases seemed to prefer bloody_*, I'm suggesting that to begin with. Also because stuff like bloody_nose and bloody_handprints have remain bloody_ even if the others were changed to blood_on_. The many smaller tags I'll change manually if/when the BUR goes through.

I'll admit that bloody_ground sounds awkward, so we can make some exceptions if necessary. But I think there needs to be more consistency here.

bloody_fingers was already aliased to bloody hands in topic #9569, on the grounds that they're essentially identical. Given that people just started using blood on fingers instead, I'm proposing that we dealias bloody fingers and use it. Alternatively, we would just alias blood on fingers to bloody hands.

Some of these sound extra awkward, like "bloody ground" and "bloody chest". I don't really like consistency just for its own sake when it results in terrible tag names. I'd much rather have the reverse for some of these, as an utility alias so that someone can just type bloody_ and get all the right tags anyway.

blood on fingers theoretically could be different from bloody hands, but realistically I can't see it working in any other way than taggers just adding blood on fingers whenever there's bloody hands, or using whichever according to their personal preference.

BUR #6239 has been approved by @evazion.

create alias bloody_face -> blood_on_face
create alias bloody_breasts -> blood_on_breasts
create alias bloody_arm -> blood_on_arm
create alias bloody_leg -> blood_on_leg
create alias bloody_wall -> blood_on_wall
create alias bloody_ground -> blood_on_ground
create alias bloody_chest -> blood_on_chest
remove alias bloody_fingers -> bloody_hands
create alias bloody_fingers -> blood_on_fingers

I guess I personally put a higher value on consistency, but I do agree that some of them are awkward.

So here's a BUR for utility aliases to be voted on as an alternative.

create alias bloody_jewelry -> blood_on_jewelry

Here's the rest of them. Some sound weird, in my opinion, like blood_on_skeleton or blood_on_rags, so I can remove those if they're undesirable. I don't know what to do with bloody_handprints or bloody_wings—the former doesn't work with blood_on_* and the latter contains wings made of blood as well. I also used blood_in_hair instead and blood_from_mouth/eyes instead of "on". Towards the ends they also have very few posts.
