Compare our blood_on_* tags to our bloody_* tags. As far as I can see, there's no reason to have two different naming conventions for these tags. Why have bloody_clothes alongside blood_on_shoes? Why have blood_on_face but also bloody_hands? When I'm tagging a post with blood everywhere, it gets annoying going down the list of body parts and objects to tag and flipping a coin for whether they're bloody_ or blood_on_.
The existing blood_on_* -> bloody_* aliases were created without any real discussion in topic #9569 and topic #12327.
Since the previous aliases seemed to prefer bloody_*, I'm suggesting that to begin with. Also because stuff like bloody_nose and bloody_handprints have remain bloody_ even if the others were changed to blood_on_. The many smaller tags I'll change manually if/when the BUR goes through.
I'll admit that bloody_ground sounds awkward, so we can make some exceptions if necessary. But I think there needs to be more consistency here.
bloody_fingers was already aliased to bloody hands in topic #9569, on the grounds that they're essentially identical. Given that people just started using blood on fingers instead, I'm proposing that we dealias bloody fingers and use it. Alternatively, we would just alias blood on fingers to bloody hands.
