Another year, another "FGO does weird shit with its characters".
Tamamo Assassin just came out in FGO and she's named "Koyanskaya of Light" (光のコヤンスカヤ) which supposedly differs from the "Koyanskaya" NPC in lore for some FGO contrived reason or other.
Quite frankly I don't think there's any usability reason to keep distinctive tags between Koyanskaya and the "this is Koyanskaya but good you guys" Tamamo Assassin that you can roll for. They're essentially the same character and look identical, so much so that they have rather heavy tagging overlap already and quite frankly I can't even tell why some are tagged how they are and some aren't, or why some are tagged with both tags and some aren't.
I don't think the community at large does any distinction between the two. they have a different class in game or something whatever really, just like we don't differ between the Goddess Rhongomyniad and artoria_pendragon_(lancer)_(fate) even though they have different eyes and are technically different characters, I don't think a distinction is necessary here.
