The wiki suggests it could be an umbrella tag but that is not how its being used and it seems to broad a concept to me. We deprecated mythology and this seems even less useful.

There are some that fall under odd tags like malay mythology but nothing that stands completely on its own.

Removed the nuke. There's a bunch of posts under folklore -*mythology.
If you do the more extensive search folklore -*mythology -honest_axe -aesop's_fables -grimm's_fairy_tales -jack_and_the_beanstalk -hare_of_inaba -tsuru_no_ongaeshi you find only a smattering of posts that all have a copyright that would fall under folklore. The question is if we want an umbrella tag for these copyrights. As I stated above I think the tag is to broad.
