what should be done about redirect links

Posted under General

I'm specifically talking about this wiki page and posts like this.
On the wiki page, the Newgrounds link redirects from "https://nekololisama.newgrounds.com/" to "https://nekonsfw.newgrounds.com/" which is still their account, just with a new name
On the post, the twitter link redirects from "https://twitter.com/Nekololisama/status/1278186008387993600" to "https://twitter.com/neko__nsfw/status/1278186008387993600" , which is the correct post, and is in fact the same tweet, just with the link showing their new account name instead of their old one.

If things like this are found, should the old links be changed, even if they redirect to the correct place? In my opinion, it would make sense to change the link on the wiki page, so that it displays the correct link, while on the post, if the link still leads to the correct place, there is no need to change it.

For artist pages you should mark off the old URL by prepending a - to it, then add the updated link separately. For posts the source should be changed to the new location since there's no guarantee that the old link will work indefinitely. The old link will be preserved in post versions.
