Tbh I'm kinda unsure how you looked at these two tags and thought they were for the same thing. The former has been used mostly for actual fighting between opposing genders. The latter is almost exclusively sex-combat fetish. I don't really think it's the best idea to merge them.

How do you propose we split them then? Based on whether the posts are sexual in nature? Because that's what ratings are for.

The problem is that mixed-sex_combat is two concepts in one, even by the wiki. It's both sex-as-combat and combat where it's man vs. woman. Which is dumb. Mixed_gender_duel is only the latter.

Well, it's two different concepts. Competitive sex "wrestling" is an entire series of lesbian stuff on PornHub. Which is very different from a male vs. female boxing match.

Technically that's only because the creator of mixed-sex combat, despite exclusively filling it with girls getting raped in boxing rings and scantily clad girls putting guys in sexy wrestling holds gave it a very generic "combat between men and women" wiki. The bit about it also "including" sex combat fetish was added just now.

That would work if both tags didn't have posts in both S and Q. Some of them might be better rated Q or E,, but there's enough reasons for something to be rated S or Q, including violence, that you can't just filter by rating.

Then it's even worse than I thought. I was wondering why it was including stuff like post #5313843. Alongside post #950537 having it added by the creator and later removed, I think it's safe to say that it's a pet tag gone wrong.

Guess someone's gotta garden this.

Ok, I see the point now. It makes sense to not group together "women fighting with men" and "women/men putting the opposite sex in a wrestling grapple while raping them".
They can't keep their current names because they're too ambiguous, but no idea what to name them.

sex battle has a few posts that follow the same theme but are not hetero.

This is probably our best bet. Or "sexual battle" or something similar, as long as it's clear from the name that these are fetish posts.

Well, I'm the one who added the sexual bits on the current mixed-sex combat wiki, because Pixiv also apply this tag to any sex fight. Still, I think it would be better to separate general mixed gender combat from actual sex as combat fetish. Maybe a tag called "competitive sex" or something like that.
