I've been going through my favorites and changing a bunch of "rating:sensitive" posts that were uploaded before "rating:general" existed to update them to the appropriate rating (found by adding the search terms "rating:s date:<2022-05-22"). However, it seems there's an automated process changing some of them back to "rating:sensitive", and I don't see what in the posts would merit escalation.

There isn't an auto-reversion process. They were manually changed back to S. I cannot confirm why exactly myself, but I'm pretty sure it's because on these posts the girls are showing too much skin there (with the latter two being bikinis). That is grounds for an S rating (and tbh I probably would've rated these S were I the uploader).
When the rating system changed it made sense for an auto-default that is more conservative. I support that.
However, It seems things under the new system that are considered appropriate for 10 year olds on public TV are now considered "Sensitive" for adults on Danbooru. I do not support that.
I've been chastised as such despite being one of the most conservative contributors over the last decade. This was not reconcilable so I am stepping down as an approver.
