Starfire / Koriand'r

Posted under Tags

I think the tag starfire should probably be changed. Since it's a single name, it should have a qualifier, like starfire_(dc). However, the Starfire popularized in Teen Titans is actually the third or fourth DC Comics character with that moniker (one past starfire even had her own eponymous 8-issue run) . Because of this, I think we should prefer something like starfire_(koriand'r) or koriand'r_(starfire) over starfire_(dc). Another option is starfire_(teen_titans) since most of the posts here are based on her teen titans appearance, but I don't think that's the best solution because a) she did not debut in the teen titans series (in fact, the first starfire character did) and b) her appearance changes significantly between her comics and teen titans appearances (see post #5086119, post #6242300, post #5306823). Since I'm new to this forum I'd like to hear what other people think.

I'm not against the idea of qualifying Starfire to starfire_(dc). but using Koriand'r as the qualifier isn't a good idea imo. The way we typically handle superheroes/villains with mantles that get tossed around is tagging both the hero and civilian tag on posts. For example, a Batgirl post would then also be tagged with Barbara Gordon, Stephanie Brown, or Cassandra Cain to facilitate searching for each incarnation. In this case though, I don't think we have any art of the other Starfires, so there's no need to get more specific than it is now. I may be wrong but I've been doing a gardening project on DC posts and don't recall seeing the other ones.
