Umbrella tag for the Blue Reflection series

This BUR aims to free up the Blue Reflection tag that was made for the first game in the series, but is currently being used as an umbrella for the other entries in the Blue Reflection series that came out since it was initially made, and make a proper umbrella tag for all of them. I hope I didn't screw this up.

You might need to go back and check if any of those posts should have both the original and one of the other games in the series. Also, Sun just announced its EOS, so I guess it's sort of relevant to discuss now?

I was planning to garden Blue Reflection posts after the BUR goes through. Good riddance, by the way.

blue reflection will probably need to be renamed, because it can be easily mistaken with the umbrella tag.

That's true, "Blue Reflection 1" doesn't seem right since it isn't officially called that anywhere, afaik, so how about qualifying it with (video game)?

It may not be officially called that anywhere, but that's how we usually handle video games that later get sequels and that we decide to make a series tag for. See ar tonelico i, sekaiju no meikyuu 1, and wild arms 1, none of which are officially called that.

I actually can't think of a series offhand where the first entry does officially have a number suffix, though I'm sure there's a few out there.

In Japanese, titles that spawned sequels or spinoffs that use the same title with some extra numbers or words or symbols tacked onto the end are called 無印 (unlabeled), is there no such qualifier in common use in English?
I guess the closest concept would be "base" or "OG" which doesn't really fit here.

Actually, the first game's full title in JP is apparently Blue Reflection Maboroshi ni Mau Shōjo no Ken which I only found out just now, so I'll also propose that as an alternative. (that's what I get for messing with a series that I mostly know by its' association with Atelier)
