"female dwarf" tag

Posted under Tags

I'm not too keen on it. Namari might as well be a generic shortstack barbarian with the way she looks and, unlike orc and goblin, female dwarves are pretty rare to see in media. Much less anime and even further less in as depictions that are recognizable as dwarves.

There's actually a fair number of female dwarves in media depicted here.

I think I meant to say "female dwarves as we would understand them as a stereotype".

Because, tbh, if I search Dwarf, I expect to find Senshi and Gimli. That post #4472933 and post #6229072 are tagged dwarf make me wanna garden the tag. These kinds of race tags have always been meant for stereotypical depictions first, canon second. That a bunch of random loli posts are in there is weird.

I guess, at the end of it all, I'm not inherently opposed to the tag due to the precedent, but I'm also very concerned that a tag that results in sherry, namari, the DQ10 Dwarf, and post #7020455 all at once would have pretty limited use when searching and feels more like canon padding doomed to be nuked when the constant need for pruning fails in 2-3 months.

If they are going to be placed under the term dwarf, it may be worthwhile dividing up female dwarf between the more western style (short, stout, etc) and the more eastern style (small and childish). While the western style female dwarves try to match the male counterpart in style, eastern style female dwarves are more of pairing up females of an entirely different fantasy race with stereotypical male dwarves. Honestly, eastern style female dwarves are just female Christmas elves wearing dwarven attire.
