Xiaohongshu Issues

Recently, my attempts to access Xiaohongshu have been hindered by this Recaptcha that's completely impossible for me to even attempt to solve. While this doesn't hinder the new bookmarklet in any case (thank god), it's still very irritating and gets in the way of things, as that site has a lot of art on it.

Is anyone able to help?

Can you bypass it on Icognito mode? I once had an issue with the Cloudfare DDOS protection screen that was caused by a bad Chrome extension.

Weird. It does not work on my incognito mode. I don't know what's going on to cause it, but if it is an issue on my end, I don't know what's causing it.

Okay, the links are working just fine on my phone. My computer, not so much. That's really strange.

The captcha works on my android phone and windows/linux PCs using Brave with multiple extensions. Slightly related, it seems there are images with blocked access, you can't get access by prefixing the files with the usual urls. I tried to bypass this and get post #7604080 to no avail.

I am a us user and have the same problem trying to solve the captcha for the ios red note app in order to bind my mobile number to my account

you might want to try looking at topic #28338, it's a little newer. android xhs app user here and i've never had any trouble with the app (the site is a whole different story). i use version 8.59.0 but i've been using the app for a while now and it surely auto-updated in the meanwhile

Goddamn it, I started running into this "security verification" QR code whenever I click on a post. I try to bypass it by scanning the code in the app as prompted, but I get denied and told it's a "function upgrade", whatever the fuck that means. It also broke the downloader for me too, so I had to resort to fucking DLPanda as I can't use my usual method of manual upload.Anyone else having the same issue?

EDIT: Turned out I just needed to update the fucking app lol. The downloader is still utterly busted right now though.

Recently got logged out, and due to some alterations I can get into an account on my phone, but not on my computer because the stupid SMS verification system is fucking busted. Been kinda killing my workflow dealing with it, ngl.

Do you not do the scan? That's usually how I get into stuff when it comes to CN social media.

I do, in fact. I just get prompted to then put my phone number in now.

Double-checked my own account for permissions, my phone number's not even bound. I have WeChat bound myself & see options for QQ and Google, is it possible to bind those? Forgot to add but I usually end up scanning with WeChat first, then get bumped to having to sign in directly with the Rednote app scan and this has worked for me thus far.

How I got my phone account to work was using my Google account (and used WeChat for my prior account). It's my laptop that's making things impossible (as every time I scan using the app, I get an SMS verification prompt).

I managed to grab an account for danbooru, so this site should work again now. Lemme know if it breaks again and I'll see what I can do.

...Annnd it already broke for me. That wasn't even fucking five hours.

I noticed during testing that it required me to reverify the account through my phone by scanning a QR code a few times. I'll take a look at it tomorrow, but we might have to create a couple different accounts or rework how scraping works once again.

Yeah. Figures. That's what broke it last time, I think. I'd suggest the rotating accounts strategy we used for Twitter, but getting just one account is already such a task and a half and they're so aggressive it'd probably be more a headache in any case.

In my experience it required periodic reverification by scanning the QR code, but the cookies stay the same. I don't know if it's usage-based or time-based though.

Not gonna comment on the ongoing downloader issues (as I know the site is aggressive), but I did want to ask: is asset #27565761 the OG file resolution and size? I accquired it through the download function in the app (making sure I had full-screened the image to avoid image sample issues) and it is unwatermarked by the site. If it is, that'd be great! But if not, then there's nothing I can really do until the downloader gets fixed.
