According to the current wiki page for traditional media, washi tape art should not be considered traditional since it's not drawn or painted. Obviously it's not digital either so it falls under unconventional media but lacks such implication.

Alternate option if we want to be more specific. Masking tape used for such artworks is predominantly paper-based and the process itself involves cutting and arranging dozens of tiny little pieces into a larger composition.

There's zero overlap at the moment here so it doesn't make much sense to me.
