Fire Emblem character tag qualifier issue

Posted under Tags

Should the official names of the characters appearing in Fire Emblem Heroes overwrite the official names of the costumes that appeared in their respective original game? There are several examples below:

BUR #43083 is pending approval.

create alias lyn_(lady_of_the_wind)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(legendary)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(winds_of_hope)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(young)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(wind's_embrace)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(valentine)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(bride_of_the_plains)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(bridal)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(brave_lady)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(brave)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(brave_lady)_(resplendent)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(brave)_(resplendent)_(fire_emblem)
create alias lyn_(lady_of_the_beach)_(fire_emblem) -> lyn_(summer)_(fire_emblem)

I would like to make this BUR a vote for bringing back shorthand names for the FEH outfits.

For the reasoning, I am going to copy here what I said in forum #363619:

I forgor that it was decided in forum #293083 to go with the full unit names so I'm going to reject this. Though there's still a ton of inconsistently named tags remaining and the people who actually make the costume tags don't seem to be following this decision.

I am still against the idea of using full subtitles, personally.
Beyond the massive inconsistency, it's just not what fans usually refer to the alts as.
Especially given the amount of alts FEH has.
Just to give an example:
Lyn (Lady of the wind)
Lyn (winds of hope)
Lyn (wind's embrace)

I have no idea what each is referring to.
Compare to:
Lyn (Legendary)
Lyn (Valentine)

And the third one which I can't even manage to find from cursory google search.

Especially since some of the wikis are very descriptive.
Taking from lyn (winds of hope):

Costume of Lyn's

gee thanks

AND!! We still have tags like Lyn (flame), or Lyn (ninja), which are arguably a bit more descriptive even without a proper wiki.
It also makes tagging a living hell because you have to look up on the wiki what is the exact subtitle.

The current format is just not sustainable.

As a bonus: this is what the strategy wiki refers to her alts as:

asset #26732655

This BUR is what the tags would look like after returning to shorthand names. They become much shorter and, I think, more descriptive.

(The other option would be to locate and rename every shorthand tag into its Heroes name subtitle counterpart)

I believe we should use full subtitle tags such as lyn_(lady_of_the_wind)_(fire_emblem), with utility aliases such as lyn_(legendary)_(fire_emblem). I really don't like that some tags use full subtitles while other's don't; for consistency's sake, it should just be one or the other.

As for costumes that existed before FEH, we should follow how Robin's Grandmaster outfit currently works, ie. we use the original name (male_robin_(grandmaster)_(fire_emblem)) with a utility alias for the FEH subtitle (male_robin_(exalt's_other_half)_(fire_emblem)).

Last time, I voted for the full subtitles, but now after adding a bunch of example images to the wiki pages of the FE characters that were missing them, I think that was a mistake. In practice, most places and people refer to FEH alts using the short names and they're just as official as the full subtitles are since i.e. Resplendent heroes are officially called that, banners featuring Winter alts will have Winter in the name and so on. Full subtitles meanwhile seem to be more obscure and much harder to remember compared to the overall alt type, which FEH doesn't have too many of. And it's far easier to understand what you're going to get when you get a qualifier like Gaius (Summer) (Fire Emblem) in the search dropdown instead of something like Gaius (Thief Exposed) (Fire Emblem).

Doesn't the second statement contradict the first one?
What I want to do is to move away from full subtitle tags completely, and use only shorthands.
