2FA not working

Hello there,

I have 2FA set, but when trying to sign in, whatever code I get from the authenticator app doesn't work.

Then I thought: "no problem, I can just use the backup code and set up 2FA again".

Used backup code. No issues.

Disabled 2FA to get a new QR code for my authenticator app. Scanned QR, wrote the generated code into the input field:

"Verification code is incorrect"

So not only I can't use 2FA to sign in, but now I can't set 2FA back either.

Can I please get some tactical support?

Check if the time of the device you're using is correct. If you are using a phone app, make sure the phone is correctly syncing time with the internet. Even being a few seconds behind/ahead can generate wrong codes, because 2fa is time-based.

It worked. My phone is supposed to get time data from online servers, but it was 1-2 minutes late for whatever reason.
