How would I go about unlocking a wiki page?

Posted under General

I wrote 2 wiki pages and they were deleted under false pretence, that being that they were from TFR, while the art I posted for them is TFR fan art both groups in question exist IRL, In fact the tag for one existed before me on art that had nothing to do with TFR, I just renamed it for accuracies' sake, and for the other I'd previously seen art of them predating TFR as well (though it's not on here)

All builders and above can lock/unlock wiki pages at their discretion. If it's simply been deleted, that can be undone by anyone, yourself included. Don't know enough about the wiki pages you made to say if the deletion or undeletion is warranted.

And yet, the only art on the 'Booru for those tags was tagged The Fire Rises. Tagged as such by you, in fact.

If art is ever uploaded of those "real groups" that isn't from the HoI4 mod (and if that art doesn't fail the queue) then it might be worth undeleting the tags. Until then, there's no need for a game mod with 18 posts to have a tag and wiki for every little faction.

And for the record, the reason why it's locked is because you undeleted the tags, retagged everything, and rewrote the wiki pages after I had already gardened it. I'm not going to get into a pointless edit war, so click.

Incorrect! There was deleted art for AW as I had stated that predated the mod, the tag already existed, I jut renamed it to a more proper name.

It’s entirely likley someone would search for art of the IRL group for whatever reason rather then the game

Some copyrights that are magnitudes larger (meaning tens of thousands of posts) don't even have faction tags. It's fine if the posts are already uploaded but that doesn't necessarily mean that you need to spend time further subdividing what's already a small niche that I don't imagine is getting many searches. I doubt this is a real concern or good justification to need them when people can easily find what they want to from just the copyright tag alone.

It'd be worth revisiting if there was a larger volume of posts uploaded because then you would be able to justify that people can't find specific types of content in a massive sea of posts. You can't just footnote everything at "it's already here". This is how tag padding gets created. You need to spend some time actually thinking about these things and seeing how others approach it, which will help you later on in figuring out how to maintain the copyrights you like better.

For easier reference, the deleted wiki pages are for Patriot Front and Atomwaffen Division.

According to their page on Miraheze, The Fire Rises was made on October 11, 2024. If these were posted before that date (assuming there were no prior announcements of its development), then it would make sense to add those tags and not The Fire Rises since the latter would be inaccurate. However, three of the works that previously had these tags (post #10151211, post #10151740, and post #10152456) were posted on Twitter in 2025 (post #9301052 was also posted here 5 months ago, but there is no source). Is there a way to know for sure whether these posts are not referencing the mod?

Also, next time, mention the specific articles under dispute in your opening post. We shouldn't have to dig through your edit history to find them. And double-check your grammar when writing wiki pages. I've been seeing the occasional typo or two in your edits.

Read the description for the OC the deleted piece of AWD art was of, it has nothing to do with TFR.

THE
GROUPS
ARE
REAL
That’s my entire point, AWD and OF exist in the real world, so as I said it makes sense thag people would want to search them irrespective of TFR, TFR is about a American Civil War so there’s various IRL groups and people of all stripes depicted in it.

The OC in post #9301052 should not have been tagged with Atomwaffen if it was using the name to represent a fictitious group under the Ukrainian Ground Forces (per the character's wiki, Anastasia Khachula). That alone should disqualify it from this discussion, as the only thing at that point which would link it to post #10151740 is the shared used of an atom symbol in a presumed Nazi context. That would make Atomwaffen Division a one post group gentag associated with The Fire Rises, which seems excessive, so I'll join in saying that it would only make sense as a tag once we start seeing non-TFR representations of the actual IRL group.
