40k Aquilla Alias

The Imperial Aquila is specifically for Warhammer 40k, while the aquila symbol is sometimes used outside 40k: aquila_(symbol) -warhammer_40k.

A two-headed eagle tag also exists.

The Aquila of 40k is very explicitly based on the real-life aquila/two-headed eagle symbol. The question really is if we want to have a symbol tag specifically for 40k or if we want it to be more general use.

(And frankly, if we do go the 40k specific route, Imperial Aquila should probably be qualified as the Imperial qualifier could also be used for Imperial Rome.)

I’ll be honest, especially given the one outside of 40K had no wikipage, I’ll be honest and say I had no clue about about it being a symbol outside of 40K, thought the name was unique to 40K (knew of the IRL 2 headed eagle but had never heard it called the Aquila)

May be better to have imperial aquila imply aquila (symbol) instead of aliasing it.

Yeah, definitely should be qualified with (wh40k) for disambiguation. And for the record, "Imperial Aquila" is one of the official names for the WH40K symbol, so it works as the main part of the name.
