With Deviantart links not working, what is the best way to get the highest quality if no direct link is availible?

It has been clear for a while now that uploading normally from places such as Deviantart doesn't work at all and as such, the only real way is to download it to the computer and then upload it second hand. Issue is however that not all pictures are displayed at their full resolution or at highest quality and doesn't always have a direct download link available. What is then the best way to get the image? Just downloading it normally just gets you a sample version that is definitely not ideal.

Any good solutions to this? In the past when this still worked, uploading with a direct link would get you the highest quality even in these instances, so there must be some workaround.

I don't believe it's possible anymore, before the bookmarklet died for DA it was pulling samples for posts without downloads enabled - most likely they had changed how originals were stored and accessible when they introduced paid downloads to prevent ripping them for free. Even galleryDL was only pulling samples in those cases as well last time I used it.

I think if you want the best versions possible, I'd use any other source besides DeviantArt except if I can't find it anywhere else. Unless we ever crack the code on full versions again...
