Most common reason and several of these have it is quality of art being not good enough or being below approvers' standard. Sketches and outlines often fall into this. The foot tickling fetish pictures... a mix of poor perspective (distance between feet and people shouldn't result in such size difference) and niche fetish.

that goes both ways, there are tons of approved self uploads I think shouldn't be accepted, weird lighting, anatomy, niche fetish, etc.

I mostly agree, but when you come across those, you can flag them to get their quality checked. As long as they follow the rules and are done in good faith, flags are free. Just avoid flagging every post that has a minor/barely noticeable anatomy error

It's bestiality, borderline content. Posts are approved individually, usually by different individuals.
