watering_pot and watering_pail are empty, and I can't imagine anyone getting confused between pot, pail and can.
Edit: Asked a few gardener friends and like me, non of them have heard of a "watering pail" or "watering pot", so unless they're US English terms, I don't see a need for the aliases.

I'm trying to remember if what I had known was "watering pail" or just "water pail"...or what it was; anything tacked before "pail" is sounding awkward.
EDIT: Watering tin.
