Hi. I originally wasn't going to post this, but I felt like I should after a bunch of them that I posted recently got auto-deleted for being unapproved for three days. This wouldn't be topic-creation worthy to me, except that most of them are the exact same as ones I've posted before in the same style, and are part of a series of images rather than individual pieces. I'm unsure what to make of it, and if the issue was simply that a mod didn't see the images, I wonder if there's a way to bring them back. Thanks for any response.
They were mostly from the same game/of the same character, but it certainly wasn't obvious that they were part of an image series, nor were they all in the same style. This doesn't seem to be the same case as, say, accepting only certain images from a doujin (which should be an all or nothing thing usually). Some were better than others, with one problem being size for some. I was actually a little more lenient than usual in accepting as many as I did. I think some were nearing three days when I approved them.
I have a feeling that if I didn't approve them, you'd have seen a lot more deletions... Plus I'm only one mod, there are a lot of other janitors and mods who would have been looking at them and decided not to approve them too.

When I mentioned some being part of an image series, I mostly meant one image in particular that got deleted; it was number 13 as part of a series of yonkoma comics, which while not required to understand other yonkoma comics, makes a gap look awkward (each one is numbered at the top, so while 12 is there, 13 was deleted, with 14 pending). Many of the others seemed like odd deletions because similar images have been approved in the past, but truthfully, I made this post more for the 13th yonkoma comic.
I understand if it's decided that it isn't important to have that approved in the sequence of these comics, but my natural leaning is that while you don't need 13 to understand 14 or any future ones, its loss in the sequence feels awkward. Thanks for your work as a mod in the past regardless, and for giving me a reply.
EDIT: Actually, two images in particular. I forgot 12 got deleted as well, so the jump goes from 11 to (pending) 14.
I'm not familiar with the yonkoma posts, so that may have been handled by someone else. I just remembered the actual character images. Generally if I saw something like a bunch of comics, I'd either accept them all or deny them all. Unless it wasn't clear they were in any order/were connected, or if one in particular just happened to break a strict rule.
I've been actually curious why some don't get approved in 3 days. Especially, the one's that are actually good. The big question is, can users repost that image, if they didn't get approved in 3 days? And is there a way to get rid of all the repeated posts.(I literally found 4 posts of the same picture this last week) If so, which one do you need us to keep of those?(certain size, biggest, or smallest?)

I'd have to look through them again, and I don't have time right now. That's assuming they'd be willing to go back and bring some of the deleted ones back, and that they can. Some of them seem like they made sense to remove, others seemed like they were good quality and on par with some others that have been accepted in the past, yet it didn't get an approval stamp and got deleted.
When I began, I tried reposting one of them because I thought maybe a mod just hadn't seen the deleted one in time, and all it did was take me to the record of the deleted version. You might be able to bypass it by altering the image a bit or something like that, but I didn't do it because I didn't want to do something that seemed like it would probably be against rules.
Please, never minimally alter and redistribute images. If you want to shop something, be my guest, but churning out duplicates is highly counterproductive. And if you do make a shop, unless it's an uncensoring, which for some reason people seem to like around here, don't upload it. Thanks.

Just make the lower quality versions children of the higher quality parent. Do not flag duplicates for deletion (see forum #3113)

Yes, correct. Doing so could just be seen as trying to circumvent the system, and could lead to a negative record or even a ban if done repeatedly.

And it'd be awesome if people don't even upload photoshopped nude filters either, because they're all garbage.
Hence why I didn't do that, I figured that if I'm not allowed to repost it as it is, then they probably don't want me to repost it period. There are some that I would have liked to see added that looked fine to me, but bah. You're the mods, and while I might wish some things got added but didn't, really my only concern is whether or not the mods actually see what I'm adding before it gets deleted for not being approved.

Well, I sometimes upload "text removed" version of magazine scans (usually large blocks of text, not just show info at corner), and they are pretty well accepted here, too, it seems.

Well, ok, yes, those are always welcome. It's edits to content (i.e. the appearance of the characters and such) that I object to, rather than cleaning up scans.
It's obviously because I've been largely inactive for a while, but having been a mod for a long time I'm not sure if it is now normal for regular members to be able to see other people's unapproved posts.
