Create a pool for "implied shapechanging" if there are no visual signs and we're just inferring the change from context. This is not mami cosplaying Reimu. This is plain old Reimu with a leaf_on_head.

But it's even a traditional Tanuki leaf with the bit missing and everything...

I don't think you realize that mamizou's power is to in fact shapeshift, there's more reason to believe it's mamizou rather then reimu just because of the leaf she's wearing that all tanuki have.

I see her tanuki leaf, and not her corpse... Additionally, that's the EXACT same leaf design as mamizou's. That's her leaf, and correct me if I'm wrong, but leaving the leaf on would be a way to imply it's her shapeshifting

You see /a/ leaf that appears to be a tanuki leaf, but no evidence in the picture leading to whether it's Mamizou or any other tanuki. Or, really, if Reimu's just wearing a bitten leaf on her head.
Are people here forgetting that tanukis still have their tails visible when transformed? The same applies to Mamizou, and this Reimu doesn't have a tail, so it's safe to assume that she is the real one.
