It was a winter morning, when the snow lazily falling down the sky. It was kind of grim, but the gatekeeper of the SDM already awake.
"Brr, I wish they'd buy me some clothes."
"Use your own salary." Suddenly, a voice echoed. Meiling startled and turned back, it was Sakuya the Maid. Elegant and refined, the silver-haired girl didn't look a bit cold. "Here is some meatbuns, don't be hungry when you're on duty."
"Not many people can be both cold and kind at the same time, Sakuya. I think that's what they call... a tsundere."
"Except the fact that we're only colleagues." the maid replied without any hestitation. "Don't eat them all at once, it's bad for your stomach."
"Not even friends, eh? Well, I don't mind." Meiling looked at her back as she returned to the mansion. The snow got fewer, perhaps today it won't be a storm, or something. The buns were hot, perfectly delicious for weather like this. Meiling squatted down, enjoying her breakfast.
"Meow~"
"Oh, who are you?"
A little black cat for some reason was sitting beside her. Meiling realized right away it was a youkai, as it has two tails. But as a youkai herself, Meiling didn't think this kid would be dangerous.
"It's strange, I thought only Cirno would come here to play in this kind of weather. Hey, aren't you cold?"
The cat tilted its head, looking at the buns.
"Oh you're hungry! Well I don't have anything else from now to lunchtime, but... Sakuya will be mad, she has been nagging on how much I eat and how red our budget is. But what will she say if I accidentally drop one bun? It touches the ground, I can't eat it, yeah? Then it's perfectly fine for a cat to take it."
She didn't even care about what Sakuya would say, because the bun was already dropped.
