He´s not really exaggerating... Akyuu wrote, that a vampire can heal as long as his/her head is okay and in Remilia´s profile of EoSD ZUN wrote, that Remilia can regenerate from a single one of her bats, I think. And she can create a LOT of bats.

Personally, Until she actually does that in canon i'm assuming most of that is bluff on the characters part. Akyuu's writings in particular, while reliable; are subjective, biased and by no means accurate. Besides, I highly doubt that Remilia went through the trouble of decapitating herself to demonstrate.
The part about regenerating from a bat isn't from Akyuu, it's from one of her game profiles (IaMP), and the part saying she can spawn an unlimited number of bats is from her IN profile. Are we gonna deny even game profiles now? False things like her being Dracula's relative and other self-claimed stuff are explicitly pointed out, everything else is word of god. And even if it was from Akyuu, denying everything she says (although i bet most people only deny what they don't like :>) makes the whole PMiSS and SoPM pointless, which is dumb since it's ZUN's way to give info about the characters and the world outside the games, while also making it look like an in-universe bestiary.

With Akyuu, she may not be wrong necessarily, but it can also be incorrect as well. Many of the things in it are from word of mouth more than likely, so there will be some bias within her books, but either way, the books make for a decent youkai guide for the villagers I'd say, which is their purpose.
That aside, it's great to see Shou get to be serious!

Vampires are stated to have the speed of a tengu and strength of an oni, and yet Remilia is physically weaker than both Suika and Yuuji and slower than Aya, but that is understandable since those who i named are the high tiers of their respective races
