Unlikely; I don't think Remilia would have the expertise to do it even if she wanted to.
O'course, it could be that Eirin did it so that they'd let her in and take blood samples, which she could then use for research purposes.
Actually, I think she might be saying it's just a placebo.
They simply wanted to put their faith into doing something that would allow them to perform a specific action towards curing their disease (either beating up someone who gave them the disease or getting a doctor to treat it), and so getting that thing psychosomatically helped them recover.
