I think the gist of it is that Flandre is seeing the equivalent of skeletons walking around.

We would probably freak out if we saw skeletons walking around, something very unnatural. Flandre is used to seeing everything as destructible, so Mokou, Kaguya, and Eirin would being things that can't be destroyed.

Also, I believe Alice says something about Mokou "looking dead, but revived" so there's that.

I can roughly understand why this is in Misleading Thumbnails pool, but what does it look like?

In terms of Flandre's ability, she's probably seeing "broken things" alive and well.

Well I know ID freak out if I see a walking skeleton, possibly even talking to me as if its nothing out of the usual

I think ao's intepretion of Hourai immortals are "Dead but unchanging", like shikaisen.
