No sign of levelling though. I went through random pics from both the original and Chinese sets, with a pixel magnifier, and the blacks are still the same (#212121~#282828), while the whites are... well, already white (#FFFFFF) in the original. There aren't supposed to be any greys here as they are represented by screentones instead.

I mean, it could be some other edits instead, but levelling is one of the most basic things to do when touching up a scanned image. That and rotating, but there doesn't appear to be any sign of the latter as well.
