She might also have a well developed sense of smell so she smelled Sunny flying over while hidden

Well, Sunny manipulates sunlight to hide, if I remember right, and since Rumia is a youkai of darkness, I imagine she's very sensitive to light so she could tell that SOMETHING was there.

Actually, I'm surprised there isn't any doujin about Rumia fighting the three light fairies. If there is, please tell me :V

Rumia catching her actually makes perfect sense based on how their abilities work. Sunny just manipulates existing sunlight to hide herself, but Rumia actually creates a sphere around herself that negates light within the affected range. Her power literally cancels out Sunny's.
