Oh, god, I just had a Bad Joke Realization. Kagami _is_ wearing a Kyubey costume. This is probably not the intended joke, but consider the following facts:

1) Kyubey looks like a cat with long ears with little jaggedy bits on the ends.
2) Kagami is holding two leeks.
3) Konata is looking downward while talking.

So! For some reason, Kagami's costume is much more abstract/symbolic than Konata's, but it has both proper elements of Kyubey's appearance as described above. Due to the forked ends, the leeks are there to represent Kyubey's ears.

And where Homura would be talking to Kyubey's cat face, Konata is speaking to Kagami's pussy.

It's a fairly straightforward reference. Katou Emiri voiced both roles.

I know they both share same seiyuu, but the whole konata talking to her pussy/kyubeys face and the leeks being kyubey ears.
