My first fanart in nearly a year and a half! This year's victim: Ah! My Goddess!
I entered this into a contest held at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights (Chicago area for those unfamiliar with it). The only restrictions were as follows: based on a manga, on 8.5 by 11 paper.
And boy, did I let loose on this thing. XD Took about 19 hours total to complete.
5 hours: gathering reference
9 hours: drawing
5 hours: coloring and shading
I love Ah! My Goddess! I'm about a third of the way through the manga. I've taken a liking to Megumi in particular, though she doesn't get the screentime (pagetime?) she deserves, in my opinion. Rest assured she isn't nearly as psychotic in the manga as she is here, though in her defense, I must say that rice crackers are pretty tasty. Mmm... shoyu. Drool
