I was reading "Omotta Ijou No Hannou" by Millefeuille, and the author puts an "animation" in the manga, suggesting that someone could turn it into a true animation with a computer. I thought, "what the hell, let's do it", and the rest is history.

err.... photoshop? it's not like it can only make bad jpegs ya know

I used GIMP: http://www.gimp.org/

It has an extension for animations. It may not be the best but it did the work nice enough.
