A stage 4 boss vs an extra stage boss who is also a Phantasm stage midboss? That's like a dog fighting a polar bear.

He is one of the few that does seem to understand that Ran's role as Yukari' shiki has more to do with how powerful Yukari is and isn't any sign of weakness on Ran's part. Far from it actually, since she is now a 9-tail with power augmented from her master.
