Eh, I suppose. I've generally seen her pulling pranks in this strip, though, not setting up anything genuinely deadly.

Wait, garlic is considered a worldly desire that is forbidden in a Buddhist temple?

Not that I was planning on signing up to become an ascetic anyway, but that seems pointlessly strict...

Also most people wouldn't consider garlic or onions to be a form of indulgence, at least not in the west.

Garlic, onions, and all others of that particular family "excite the senses." The whole point, even down to the diet, is to release oneself from material and sensual things.

The cherry blossoms are pretty much in full bloom out here.
...I guess it's fine outside the temple grounds.
Northbound Geese Kougan Kaeru, one of the "72 climates" of the solar year. This one corresponds to about Apr. 10-Apr. 14, equating the northward travel of geese with late spring.
Leeks and liquor are forbidden within the temple grounds. Leeks (or garlic) and liquor are examples/metaphors for all worldly distractions.
So you say, but don't you fancy a drop now and then?
    Snicker
A round of booze with cherry blossoms! Sounds good.
    Well, yeah, sometimes...
It's warmed up, and a flower-viewing would be nice.
    Hey, hey! Alcohol's strictly forbidden!
    In short...
    Gya ha ha!
An' even though I'm doin' my best too...hey, you listening?
    I'm the queen!
    Gasp
    Flash
A commandment forbidding anyone from bringing wine or pot herbs such as leeks inside the temple gates, as eating such things is an impediment to ascetic training.
    Whooo's the king?
