Tewi's logic of the fly and the trought are actually true here in the real world. It's the same concept as selling off your car in order to invest it on stocks (i.e. Mutual Fund) and wait for the stocks to grow.
I have a friend who sold his car back in 2008 when there was a global recession in order to buy mutual fund stocks. Fast forward now, the worth of his money has now tripled! What a lucky guy.
