Meh, short answer: Maybe artist got lazy (some do, no big deal), or maybe it was an after-thought.

Long answer: The back teeth really don't open that much compared to the front teeth.

Silly answer: It's actually a very well-drawn tattoo.

@Neoptolemos: If you try opening your mouth like that you can see it's virtually impossible to have your back teeth remain closed.

It's more than likely just a mistake. Sometimes I finish a picture too quickly and forget to patch stuff up. It could have just as easily been overlooked as well. Sometimes you just don't see it until after you release it. Sucks when that happens.

Yeah, I can concur with that thought, but still, with editing tech being what it is nowadays, it still feels like you're being lazy if it's not right.
