I always wondered that too.
It'd be funny if, the morning of the tournament she went and bought an outfit for maximum flexibility ad thought "this size should be just right. I don't have time to try it on!"
So she puts it on and curses the fact that she can't zip it up. "dammit...it fits the rest my body just fine, so....why?!"
