I don't think I have authority to make the decision on my own, but I'd like to change the translation to use the words rather than keep the wordplay. Why? Other translations here do it that way. There is no shiritori-like game in English, so the wordplay goes mostly unnoticed. And, it confuses learners when the words don't match the translation (and is a pet-peeve of mine, to boot)
