Never really understood why dragons are weak to ice. Anyway, poor Garchomp

Dragons are Similiar to reptiles.
Reptiles does not like cold.

As for who the culprit was on the Hidden Power Ice, it was clearly the Marshtomp. I mean, just look at him in the second panel. That face just screams 'premeditated murder'.

As to why Charizard didn't die...

Marshstomp is an Ice Beamer. Why would he be packing that? I say that Jolteon is to blame. He'd use it, and I don't like that look on his face...
