Does Welsh Onion in Japan mean Leek, [ emblem of Wales, but not an onion ], or Spring Onion, the long thin salad onion ? The illustration shows neither.
One doesn't really imagine Japanese as knowing much about Wales, or other tiny parts of Europe such as Flanders or Zealand; any more than the average westerner can be expected to list the prefectures of Japan --- but nice if they do.
