Well so far Mifi has kept it hidden or at least tame, she has desires some crazy desires but she is usually civil around Ran

Shamelessly voting for Shizuki. Though I should probably have made a comment about putting her more into the story again.

As of when I voted, Tamaryuu's winning by no small margin. Expected, really.

Kinka has definitely taken it.
Mifi has tasted it as well.
Shizuki had a mate as a normal fox.
Sachi probably had one too.
Ran was raped and murdered.
Shigure was a prostitute and murdered.

Dragon pedo seems only interested in little girls and Dragon ball hasn't had any experience with men so far.

Of those three, I like Ginka the best.

I never vote for the main characters in these things, even if they are favorites... they're just going to get top ranks, anyway, so you might as well aim for the side-characters, so you can at least help the small-fry not be lonely with some 0 score or something.

... And I'm voting Sara.

Not really surprised Tamaryu is owning this. She's practically the main character at this point. As for the Otomos...I believe they are managing to secure a place through the power of Moe. I'm actually surprised that Elza isn't ranked higher.

It's one of the same reason's Momiji in touhou gets consistantly high ranks for having positively 0 relevance in Touhou. Power of Moe is a scary thing.

I voted for the Otomos. I'd love to see more of them. :3

It's not just about who's in first.

Main characters always come out way in the lead of minor characters. More appearances, and more recent appearances mean people will be biased towards them, just for having more to like. (Catherine is showing strong, probably thanks to having a concurrent arc, while Mifi is doing horribly...)

It's just that these sorts of polls can reveal some ensemble dark horses with unusually strong ranking positions.

If the Otomos manage to hold a third-place ranking, in spite of having terribly few appearances, the author might at least consider them having more appearances than they otherwise would, thanks to their unexpected popularity.

Shizuki, here. Foxgirls are a weakness of mine, and Shizuki's been cute with her feelings anyway. Completely ignoring such a cute fox isn't justice at all!

Well... those online polls aren't exactly secure and are too easy to breach. I think I could (relatively) easily get anyone a hundred or two of votes, but I won't do anything of a sort, as don't want to ruin the event - and I ask others to refrain from that as well.

To throw down a marker of the current standings...

As of today, Tamaryu is still in the lead with 31, but Seren is closing with 23, so Tamaryu's margin is shrinking.

The Otomos have fallen to fifth place behind Ran and the fox-miko getting justice. The two are tied at 17, while the otomos have 13.

Then, it's the classmates - Elly has 8, Catherine and Sara both have 6.

Elza, Ginka, and Kinka have 5 each.

Meguru with 3. (And she would have been my second choice...)

The previous holy trio has gained some votes from their previous no-show on the polls. 2 votes for Sachi and Asagi. Only 1 for Rindou.

"Other" still has only one.

Then, in the "Wait! We still are characters!" end of the polls, where the Prismrivers usually reside, Mifi, Aina, and Haruna all have 0. Aina was kind of a one-shot character, and Haruna has had scant showing, but that's a real sting to Mifi, who was a regular character with plot arcs.

True, but it's been a helluva long time since Mifi was really used. Not surprised she's lagging-other than the otomos, all the other characters have had SOME presence recently.

Then it's still a slap in the face of Sachi and co., since they have been all over the recent arc, but still doing poorly. (Although, Asagi has the excuse of being more a straight-man and prop for dispensing beatings than the primary joke deliverer. Rindou should be beating her if her jokes were better-received. It's like people watching Azumanga Daioh for Yomi instead of Tomo or Osaka.)

Besides, Kinka and Ginka haven't had much face time recently, either, and they're not doing great, but they're middle-of-the-pack compared to dead last.

I was saying earlier that a strong showing from minor characters might cue a writer of a webcomic that's more in-touch to the fanbase than most other mediums to feature them in more story arcs. Conversely, a really weak showing of a character with some decent face time means that it's either time to Save them From The Scrappy Heap, or else push them out to pasture, the way that Jar Jar Binks got no lines after Phantom Menace.

Considering how everything below 5th place is a matter of only one or two votes margin between placings, it would really affect the outcome. However, considering as the votes haven't changed all that much, except for moving Shizuki and Ran up above the Otomos, there wouldn't be all that much cheating that could have gone on. (It's basically 100 votes on the first couple days, and only got up to 120 or so in the next couple days, so it seems like everyone swarmed in an voted the first day or two, and everything's been pretty static, since.)

(Since the last time I updated it, only one vote seems to have been cast - for Shizuki.)

Well, if I were abusing that voting system, I'd give an extra vote to Meguru, because she's only gotten 3 votes, and could use a booster. Sara's already doing surprisingly well.

Some burst of people came out and gave Tamaryu, Seren, Shizuki and the Otomos a big jolt. Ran has fallen into fifth place, after being neck-and-neck with Shizuki for most of the polling. (Maybe Shizuki fans are more devious than Ran fans?) The gap between fifth and sixth are huge - basically double the number of votes for that top tier than anything else.

Ginka has surprisingly broken away from a dead heat with her sister and Elza, and gotten up to classmate-level votes.
