Also, the perspective seems to be rather off. I'd suggest working on that for now. Your shading is excellent, however.

Uploading One's Own Art is Sacrilege

Posting one's own art is severely looked down upon,

I understand the concern over quality of uploaded content, but it still doesn't justify that norm. This is not my only work, but it's the only work I did that I deemed good enough and fitting enough to be posted here. Was that judgement wrong? I don't think so. What when I fix a scan or detext and image? Nobody complains then! Well I just fixed someone elses lineart this time in this case, by coloring and shading it. Never on konachan was semi-OC I posted met with such negativity. On the contrary, they were happy to have me contribute. It may not be the norm, however it is the rule set by the site. Rather than complaining about it, just accept it and move on.

If you REALLY hate the rule so much, bring it up with the mods and admin at the forums and see where you can get.

The point of the rule is, if the artist uploads their own work and thinks it's good, that is a biased position. If someone else uploads it because they think it's good, then someone else other than the artist has a similar opinion, thus justifying the upload.

I kind of think the rule is a little silly, myself; because unless the uploader is Contributor status, it has to go through the approval queue anyway.

Particularly the two sides of the mattress should not be exactly parallel like they are in this image. Perspective wise it all looks very... isometric.

Isometric projections are good for technical drawings and Super Mario RPG, but tend to look funky in art.
Also the feet seem to small, and ankles need more detail.

I like the subject though. Havin to comb all that hair.
