    It's only backwards and rotated 80deg.

    Some of the symbols are also oriented differently than the others (the dial doesn't have rotational consistency). And VI and IV are in each other's places. And Roman-numeral watch dials don't have IV anyway. It just gets weirder every time.

    I think the numerals are merely mirrored.

    Yes, the image is mirrored. It looks correct if you mirror it back again.
