Who's to say that is a single Trevenant? It might just be 4 different Trevenants for all you know.
Well, by judging Trevenants reactions, we could probably assume its the same one getting surprised over and over again. with that in mind, either the artist depict Gourgeist changing size to love Trevenant (which is a shame you cant actually do that...) or Its a group of like minded Gourgeists. (Note: Im a big fan of Gourgeist and Trevenant, that's why I care so much.)

That was my point, if we are to presume that the differently sized Gourgeists are 4 different Pokemons with similar minds, who is to say those are not also 4 different Trevenants with similar minds as well?

I suppose you're right, the reason I thought that way though, was because of the order of pictures, and the reactions of the pokemon.
