    I've translated the commentary as best I could, and it appears the artist agrees with your second point.

    Translation notes: I'm really not confident in the "Abilities" line, in particular the "plus 2" (たして２) and "I went with" (でかけた) parts. It's definitely talking about her parents, and the second sentence is fairly unambiguous, but I'm not at all clear on what exactly happens with Yukari and Yuyuko (or their abilities) there.

    (Actually, on re-reading, I almost certainly have the でかけた part wrong; it's usually used in the context of going out in the travel sense, as in going out on a journey. I'm not seeing how that could apply in this case, though - unless her ability is to cause both of her parents to come and help her? That would explain both the "plus 2" and "opponents die" parts...)

    It's tricky because the use of only hiragana instead of kanji means you have to guess where the words divide. It's not 出掛けた ("went out"), it's で掛けた ("multiplied by"). The -te form of a verb is often used for non-final steps in a sequence of actions, thus たして２でかけた ("added and then multiplied by 2").

    Thank you for the explanation and correction. I had some suspicions that her powers might be something like that, but my limited Japanese couldn't make enough sense of the words to support it.

    I'm also a bit disappointed that it's true: if it's accurate (and not just, say, Yukari boasting) then I think young Mukuro is the new holder of the "most ridiculously overpowered WTFBSHAX powers" award. In fact, if she's doubled Yuyuko's ability, then that would be literal overkill...
