Yuki's name means snow (though I believe it's written with the characters for Hope). So Kyon is still saying to spend time together in the 'snow'" gives him a special feeling can be taken several ways.

I thought you were pointing out that he said "This person" instead of "lover" which is why Nagato looks dejected.

Nah, I think it's a bit of wordplay. Which I base partially on the name, but also because it's a Japanese thing, so it's pretty wise to suspect some kind of wordplay in there somewhere.
